Is Congress working for the People or global corporations and special interest groups?

Ron Suskind has written all that needs to be said about the previous Administration and its deception of the American people.
The main industry in Afghanistan is heroin which comes from the poppy fields controlled by armed tribal chiefs. It's less about democracy now and more about management of the drug culture, controlling the Taliban and liberating the women and children. Our troops could be there a very long time unless we change strategies and tactics.
Here is a headline that makes sense: Exit Iraq and leave no Bases behind. While we're at it, how about pulling our troops out of Europe, Japan, Korea, and the rest of our 800 bases around the world? Our Imperial Power role is ending and a new era of peace and truth is upon us. Perhaps take the time to review US Imperialism background.
Russia is building a new economic alliance with developing mega market nations including China, India and Brazil. The goal is to replace the dollar as the dominant reserve currency. Will our salvation be a North American Union? Numbers

Islam is on a collision course with Western culture, reports CNN. Of course, the Muslims must hate us for our military pursuits of oil in their back yard, for our support of Israel, and for liberating the woman, their best "belonging." How dare we!
Well, we keep calling Obama black. Then someone asked: Is Obama black enough? Fact is, he is bicolor, both black and white, but he is called black. I say, we give him credit for all of his heritage.
Yikes, there is more evidence of abandoned soldiers still imprisoned in Laos, ever since the Viet Nam War. How many soldiers will be abandoned in Afghanistan and Iraq? If you know potential recruits, tellem: Soldiers are expendable. See MIAs

China does not live up to our value system (what's left of it) but is showing us what we are up against. Its 1-party political system is capable of getting spectacular results while our 2-party system is mired in political intrigue and infighting. The European parliamentary system may be best of all for maturing cultures which have outgrown their "Sturm und Drang" teen age times of exuberance.
All is politics, my history professor used to say. This certainly includes the Olympics. The total points column above pretty well makes the unspoken statements which define the new global pecking order. No wonder, our Secretary of the Treasury is kissing China's ass. While we have squandered our resources in unnecessary foreign wars, China has wisely invested its resources at home, and it shows.
