I'm convinced there is intelligent life on other planets in the universe. See hubblesite. However, biological life forms like humans may not be able to travel safely through deep space. Therefore, any sighted aliens here may in fact be intelligent robots. Religion plays a major role in human life. Belief is a powerful force which has brought peace and war, life and death, goodness and evil. Some spiritual leaders are truly a blessing to their followers, others are in the religion business and play a self-aggrandizing power role. Religious fanaticism has lead to mind control, exploitation, even violence and terrorism. Atheists believe we need not freedom of religion, but freedom from religion.
